International Film Industry is Pumping a Huge Amount of Cash into South Africa

The film industry in South Africa is at an all time high.

"Cape Town has been favoured for it's incredible diversity of natural and architectural locations;" says Mark Visser the spokesman of the Capr Film Commission.

Filmmakers are using Cape Town regularly as a film location. Miami Vice starring Colin Farrell was filmed there.

Due to the industry booming so much Anant Singh, a South African producer has commissioned the building of Dreamworld Film Studios in Cape Town, which will be available for local and international use.

Singh and his company, Video Vision, have been responsible for many of South Africa’s greatest local movies as well as anti- apartheid films, including Sarafina, Cry the Beloved Country, Yesterday and Place of Weeping. Singh has already started work on Nelson Mandela’s autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom, with filming expected to start next year.

Over 30 international movies were shot in South Africa.

The reasons for shooting in South Africa are along day, stunning locations which include mountains, sea, semi-desert areas, winelands and small towns.

Isn't it time you considered coming to South Africa?
